WBCS Negative Marking (Latest Rule)
For the WBCS Preliminary Exam conducted by West Bengal Public Service Commission:
- ✅ Negative Marking: Yes
- ❌ Penalty: –0.25 marks (¼ mark) for each wrong answer
- Negative marking is only in Prelims (MCQ paper)
- Mains exam (descriptive + some objective) generally does NOT have negative marking for descriptive answers
